About Me

My love for blogging began during my teaching profession. I was a teacher of first grade and kindergarten. I would spend hours striving to become a better teacher by viewing other teachers' classrooms. I would learn their teaching strategies and ideas.

From the time I began the world of retirement I moved from teaching blog reading to those of a home nature. By taking a look at new ideas for decorating, remodeling, and organization I became a full time homemaker.

We have lived in this house for 30 years. I am a wife and mother. We raised our three sons in this setting. Needless to say, there are many memories--both good and bad. The laughter and tears that become part of LIFE. The loss of my oldest son was one of the greatest low points to endure. The growth of my sons from babies to adult hood shares many fond memories.

No, this home isn't huge by today's standards. But...it is HOME. 

This home is now shared with my husband of 40 years. We are now empty nesters that are finding a new normal.

My faith in God is the foundation upon which this family and home lie.
